I found my love for fashion in high school when a friend and I started making funky T-shirts. Each were uniquely different to the next and were in huge demand amongst our friends. We slowly expanded our range, teaching ourselves to sew and make patterns. For a year after high school we continued making clothes and expanded our knowledge and client base. Together we sold to various shops like Oddities, Herowan, Rave Nation, Black Jack, and even had our own small shop in Cape Town which we closed down when we decided to go to Tech to study.
I then attended Cape Technikon for three years and got my National Diploma in Fashion Design. I continued throughout these years to create clothes for clients and shops,

I have since been experimenting in all different fields of Fashion, and found a love for each of them. This is why we have so much to offer at Kate Jordan Designs. I’ve had much experience in everything from evening wear right through to promotional wear, expanding my mind and diversity of design and pattern making. I have worked with all different shapes and sizes, and all types of style and individuality. I’ve learned a lot about brand orientation and imaging. This helps me to look past a person’s looks, and help to dress from the inside - out. Clothes should reflect the inner personality, not only accentuating a person’s assets and hiding their flaws.
